meet the people behind the booths of the winter & summer Markets

The Winter Farmers Market is filled with over 100 vendors each week - makers, bakers, growers, and creators who keep Northern Colorado vibrant all year long. From farm-fresh produce and locally raised meats to handmade art, jewelry, home goods, and natural body care — every booth tells a story of passion, creativity, and community.

As we wrap up our  19th Winter Season, we’re excited to share a major step forward for our Market: beginning this May, we will host our first‑ever Summer Markets on the second Saturday of each month through October.

For nearly two decades, our Market has lived between November and April. Expanding into summer allows us to meet two growing needs in our community: providing a safe, climate‑controlled indoor shopping experience during increasingly hot and unpredictable weather, and creating more space for emerging vendors who haven’t been able to access traditional regional markets.

By adding these Summer Markets, we can better support the farmers, food producers, and small‑business creators who rely on year‑round opportunities to sustain and grow their work. At the same time, shoppers gain a comfortable, consistent, all‑season Market experience; one that reflects the evolving needs of Northern Colorado and the vibrant community that has supported us for all these many years.

Shopping the Market means discovering something new each week, supporting small businesses, and connecting with the people who bring their craft and care to everything they make.

Come explore, taste, and experience the best of local all under one fun and exciting indoor roof at Foothills Mall.

At the Fort Collins Farmers Market, we are committed to making locally grown produce accessible to our community all year round. We understand the unique challenges faced by farmers in our region and are excited to offer our new Farmer Scholarship program to help.

What is the Scholarship?

This season, we are covering 100% of booth fees for farmers selling produce at the Winter Farmers Market. Our goal is to make it easier for growers to participate in our direct-to-consumer market during the winter. Please note the following guidelines:

  • Who Qualifies: Any grower in the Northern Colorado region vending strictly produce. Vendors of meat, eggs, and other agricultural products are not eligible.

  • What is Covered: The scholarship covers 100% of your booth fees for the season.

  • What is Not Covered: Farmers are still responsible for the 4% daily percentage of sales fees and the $60 application fee.

  • Special Considerations: Produce vendors receiving the scholarship may not sell other value-added products unless they receive special permission from the Farmers Market's manager. If a producer wants to sell non-produce items, they will not qualify for the scholarship.

Why We Offer This Scholarship

Our mission is to provide access to locally grown and made products during the months when they are typically hard to find. We know that growing produce in our region during the winter is a significant challenge, often requiring expensive tools like high tunnels, greenhouses, and cold storage. This can lead to lower production and staffing, making it difficult for smaller growers to attend farmers markets.

This scholarship is our way of helping to even the playing field, ensuring more growers can access a direct-to-consumer market and continue to share their hard work with our community.

How to Apply

If you are a grower interested in attending the 2026 Indoor Summer Farmers Market on scholarship, please submit your application immediately.

This program is our way of helping to boost for Northern Colorado farmers. By covering booth fees, we hope to make our markets more accessible to the small-scale growers who are the heart of our local food system.
