Non-Discremination Policy

Our commitment

Wildcraft Farmers Market welcomes everyone. Since 2006, our market has been a gathering place for the whole Fort Collins community, and we are committed to keeping it fair, safe and respectful for every customer, vendor, volunteer and staff member.

We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, religion or creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, pregnancy, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, Colorado or local law.

Where this policy applies

This policy covers everything the market does, including:

  • Vendor applications, selection, fees and booth placement

  • Customer service and access to the market, including SNAP, EBT and Double Up Food Bucks

  • Hiring and treatment of staff and volunteers

  • Sponsorships, non-profit booths, events and programs

How vendor decisions are made. We select and place vendors using the published criteria in our Vendor Handbook: product category and mix, returning-vendor standing, application date, number of markets attended, product approval, licensing and space requirements, and Foothills tenant exclusions. Every vendor is held to the same rules and Code of Conduct (click here for the Vendor Code of Conduct). Questions about any decision are welcome at manager@focowfm.com.

What we expect from everyone

Vendors, staff and volunteers may not discriminate against, harass or exclude any customer, vendor or team member. This includes refusing service, charging different prices, making slurs or jokes about someone's identity, or treating someone differently because of who they are.

Staff and volunteers receive training on this policy each season. Vendors agree to it when they sign the Wildcraft Vendor Code of Conduct.

How to report discrimination

If you experience or witness discrimination at the market, please tell us. You can report it any of these ways:

  • Speak with staff at the info booth on market day.

  • Email manager@focowfm.com.

  • If your concern involves the Market Manager, or you prefer, email the market owner directly at wfmowner@gmail.com.

What happens next

  1. We acknowledge your report within 3 business days.

  2. A person not involved in the complaint reviews it, talks with the people involved and reviews any records.

  3. We share the outcome with you in writing, usually within 15 business days, and explain any steps we are taking.

We keep reports as confidential as we can while looking into them. No one will be penalized, lose a booth or be treated differently for reporting discrimination in good faith or taking part in a review.
